Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Gillette Golf Club is a beautiful member owned golf course with a gorgeous 9 hole golf course. We have a newly renovated driving range and practice facility. We currently have 4 holes completed for the back 9 holes. We are known for great customer service and our family friendly environment.
Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Board of Directors, the Superintendent plans, directs, supervises, and inspects all aspects of maintenance of the golf course and golf club grounds on a year-round, fulltime basis. Ensures that the goals and objectives for the golf course are determined, managed, and met.
Manages the Grounds department personnel, including the completion of performance appraisals and any necessary corrective action. Takes an active role in the preparation and management of the Grounds department fiscal budget.
