Ensures golf facilities are properly maintained. Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Assistant Golf Professional & Tournament Director

Reporting To: Golf Shop Manager and Director of golf/Head Golf Professional
Responsibilities & Expectations:
The Assistant Professional will demonstrate expertise in running day–to–day Golf Shop Operations (tee sheet management, phone skills, fee collection, and merchandising) and exhibit extraordinary customer service skills. The Assistant Professional will be delegated some management responsibilities. The Assistant Professional will be trained and expected to take on additional responsibilities and duties as delegated by the Golf Shop Manager and the Director of Golf/Head Golf Professional.
Job Summary:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Greet all customers immediately, in a friendly and respectful manner.
· Provide the highest level of customer service to our customers.
· Possess a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures.
· Promote the game of golf and the facility in the community.
· Generate facility improvement ideas.
· Assist in group event scheduling and operations.
· Possess thorough knowledge of membership programs and pricing.
· Demonstrate attention to detail.
· Must have strong communication skills in relation to customers and staff.
· Always represent the facility in a professional manner.
· Demonstrate efficiency in day-to-day Golf Shop Operations, including tee sheet management, phone skills, and accurate fee collection.
· Assist with merchandising program as directed by First Assistant and Director of Golf/Head golf Professional.
· Will be trained in instructional programs and player development.
· Responsible for regular shop cleaning and merchandise shifting.
· Some management of personnel as delegated by First Assistant and Director of Golf/Head Golf Professional.
· All other duties as directed by First Assistant and Director of Golf/Head Golf Professional.
