Plans and directs training of student athletes, and assesses individuals' abilities and skill level to determine appropriate team position. Being a Head Coach (Major Sport) analyzing opposition team performance and capabilities and determines game strategy. Assists players in reaching highest athletic potential possible through athletic training and leadership skills. Additionally, Head Coach (Major Sport) must be familiar with NCAA rules and regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in the related area. Typically reports to a institutional officer. Head Coach (Major Sport) is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. The Mentor Coach role is critical in guiding Head Start teachers to further develop their planning, instruction, and content knowledge. Mentor Coaches help orient teachers to their school community and to teaching in general. Mentor Coaches will also provide training and technical support for this Head Start career. Generally, as a minimum requirement, the applicant must have a baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field with at least two years of experience working with young children and families.
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 50 weeks per year
