Has completed necessary trade school courses. Being a Head Aircraft Mechanic (Non-Jet) typically requires an associate degree. Possesses necessary FAA Aircraft Mechanic Airframe and Power Plant Certificate. Additionally, Head Aircraft Mechanic (Non-Jet) typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Inspectors report directly to the Chief Inspector and perform tasks as assigned by the Lead Inspector.
