- Drive the hardware development lifecycle from concept to production, including requirements gathering, design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
- Establish and maintain robust processes and procedures for hardware design, manufacturing, and testing to ensure quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop and manage budgets, resource allocations, and timelines for hardware projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and project milestones.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in hardware design and manufacturing, and incorporate relevant advancements into the company's hardware strategy.
- Implement and enforce compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance requirements applicable to hardware development and production.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs across the hardware development lifecycle.
- Provide regular progress updates, reports, and presentations to senior management on hardware-related activities, achievements, and challenges.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years of experience in hardware engineering, with demonstrated expertise in designing and developing complex hardware systems.
- Prior experience in a leadership or management role, with a strong ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members.
- Deep understanding of hardware design principles, methodologies, and tools, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation.
- Extensive knowledge of hardware components, technologies, and architectures, such as microprocessors, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.
- Proficiency in project management techniques and tools, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
