As a Commercial Tile Setter, you will play a crucial role in transforming spaces by installing tiles in various commercial settings. Responsibilities:

Tile Installation:

• Cut tiles and shape them to fit around obstacles, tight corners, and odd spaces using power and hand tools.
• Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue, or mortar, utilizing tools such as screeds, brushes, and trowels.
• Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels, and squares to ensure even and precise patterns.
• Install hard tile, marble on walls, floors, and various indoor and outdoor surfaces
• Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles in commercial spaces.

Surface Preparation:

• Clean surfaces and prepare them for tiling.
• Measure, cut, and shape tiles to fit the determined pattern.
• Ensure accuracy during the installation process for lasting results.

Quality Assurance:

• Select appropriate tools and equipment needed for the job.
• Monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure components are working properly.
• Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled.
• Customer Interaction:
• Work with clients to discuss their tiling needs.
• Provide outstanding customer service during installations.

Qualifications:

Physical Strength and Stamina:

• Tile setters need to lift heavy materials and equipment.
• Endurance to kneel or stand for extended periods.

Detail-Oriented:

• Precise planning and laying of tiles on floors.
• Accurate measurements and precise tile patterns.

Willingness to Learn:

• On-the-job training provided to enhance skills.
