Hand Compositor/Typesetters sets type by hand and machine. Assembles type and cuts in galley for printing articles, headings, and other printed matter. Being a Hand Compositor/Typesetters determines type size, style, and compositional pattern from work order. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Hand Compositor/Typesetters may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Shop hand Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $18.00 /hour
- Full Time work available
- Weekend work required
- First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 05:00pm)
- Entry level Shop/Yard Hand position
- Pipe inspection/pipe cleaning.
- Work with paraffin sucker rods, feeding pipe into machinery for adjustments.
- Help keep shop/yard clean and in an orderly fashion.
- Other duties as asked.
- Located just outside of Roosevelt, near Myton, UT.
Shop hand Qualifications:
- Some oil and gas experience preferred, but not required.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work in all weather elements.
- May be required to lift, bend, and other physical duties.
- Overtime is available
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
