Hand Bindery Worker assembles and binds printed materials into books, periodicals and pamphlets. Performs a variety of tasks including measuring, cutting, trimming, sorting, and folding materials to produce finished bound product. Being a Hand Bindery Worker may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Hand Bindery Worker typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. The Worker Education and Resource Center, Inc. (WERC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization originally founded in 2002 in partnership with the Service Employees International Union, Local 721 and the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.
WERC is currently looking to fill the part-time position of Casual Instructor.
Rate of Pay – $50/hr

The Casual Instructor will conduct training (on- and off-site) using both traditional and non-traditional methodologies to effectively engage adult learners, consulting with the project team on implementing project objectives, preparing and/or selecting educational materials, and assisting with developing and/or evaluating improvements to curricula and program design.
