The Kidder Creek ranch Hand is responsible for assisting the Wrangler Lead and the Ranch Camp Manager in all things Ranch Camp as assigned to ensure the campers have a safe and engaging Ranch Camp experience in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision, culture code and standards of conduct.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Oversee the complete care and coordination of all Petting Farm animals and other farm animals not associated with the equine herd. Responsible for all feeding, food prep and inventory, pen cleaning and supervision when guests are visiting the Petting Farm.
Assist Wranglers with assigned barn chores
Help tack, untack horses and facilitate Tline and guest trail rides
Act as an “extra hand” in general when needed at Ranch Camp
Other duties as assigned

Experience and knowledge of horses and farm animals is preferred

Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Ability to have a good attitude, be a positive role model.
Attention to detail and follow-through, flexible and able to adjust to the challenges of Ranch Camp life and changing job assignments and schedules with short notice.
Ability to take direction from the Wrangler Lead and Ranch Camp Manager.
