Performs a variety of tasks including measuring, cutting, trimming, sorting, and folding materials to produce finished bound product. Altitude Steel is a structural steel distribution company that handles retail customers all the way up to larger, commercial contracts. We carry a wide variety of stock in our inventory and are capable of cutting, drilling, punching, forming, and fabricating steel items to customer specs.
We are looking for reliable, hardworking yard and shop laborers. Past experience is preferred, but not required. All new employees will be trained on proper safety and operating procedures for the saws, drills, ironworkers, forklifts, etc.
Typical work will include:
- loading steel into racks
- cutting and processing material (new and used)
- keeping the yard in working order
- helping customers load material
- whatever else may be needed as far as the shop and yard are concerned.
The position is full time, Monday - Friday, and every other Saturday.
