Being an HVAC Supervisor conducts quality testing and inspections. May authorize equipment, supplies, parts, or repairs purchases. Additionally, HVAC Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Requires an HVAC Mechanical State License and EPA Section 608 Certification (CFC). Typically reports to a manager. The HVAC Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an HVAC Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Technical Supervisor is responsible for evaluating the technical training needs for their branch’s field associates and working collaboratively with the Goettl Academy to deliver both classroom and in-the-field training. The Technical Supervisor is responsible for safety education and associate development leading to decreased work injures, increased skill levels, higher performance, greater client satisfaction, and an engaging employee experience. Specific focus areas include current and new-staff training, education, and development.
