Position Summary

The Technical Supervisor administers to the technicians and other personnel and takes interest for the quality of their work and the accomplishment of profit goals. The Technical Supervisor checks the jobsites to inspect the management of the service team and finds ways to improve services, production, and profit.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Building Intelligence Operations Manager to achieve sales, production, and profit goals
• Ensures the quality, standardization, profitability, and timeliness of all DDC Projects and Service calls.
• Effective supervision and efficient scheduling of technicians and dispatch to reduce unallocated Tech time
• Maintains adequate level of customer interaction.
• Resolves customer disputes with regards to technical services performed.
• Regularly visits jobs/service calls in progress to inspect quality of work performed and to provide on the job training and technical support to field personnel
• Available for afterhours personnel support
• Ensures code compliance for all technical work performed
• Provides service and technical support to all company personnel as required
• Facilitates safety training and OSHA compliance in conjunction with safety coordinator.
• Ensures adherence to department procedures and standards by technicians
• Recommends procurement and ensures care of all required service tools, inventory, and vehicles
• Responsible for efficient flow of work, timesheets, work orders, reports
• Conducts and/or schedules technical training to maintain high level of technician skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 2-year computer/electronic technical degree and 7 years HVAC control experience or 15 years HVAC BAS experience
• Maintain company trade licenses and skills as applicable to HVAC, chiller, boiler and controls service
• Possess interpersonal, leadership, computer, communication and management skills

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Ability to travel to and inspect jobsites and to visit customer locations.
• Extensive knowledge of dispatch, job cost, HVAC mechanical and electrical systems, controls, safety practices

• Ability to lift 75 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor
• Ability to climb ladders and perform job duties at required heights
