We are searching for a HVAC Mechanic to perform routine predictive & preventive maintenance on Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment and systems throughout the facilities. Perform renovations and install new HVAC/R systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning HVAC/R equipment and systems. Maintain HVAC/R inventory. Make repairs, calibrate and functionally test equipment and systems. Recommend solutions for necessary corrective action.

• Hours: 40hrs
• Shift: Day shift; 7:00am-3:30pm; On occasion may have to work evenings/weekends depending on needs of the department.
• Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA
• Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Heating preferred.
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License and Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
• Related experience required to demonstrate ability to operate and maintain typical HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment Systems.
• Two (2) years experience in a hospital or industrial environment with knowledge in the maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers, energy management systems and associated equipment.

Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 and seasonal Influenza. Must provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
