HVAC Mechanic jobs in Missouri

HVAC Mechanic performs maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines. Being an HVAC Mechanic follows blueprints or engineering specifications to install units. Performs troubleshooting to identify the cause of problems. Additionally, HVAC Mechanic maintains and secures a spare parts inventory. Recommends purchasing maintenance equipment and supplies as required to improve processes and efficiencies. Typically requires an apprenticeship and/or completion of technical training. Requires a high school diploma. The regulations governing the location may require an HVAC Mechanical State License and EPA Section 608 Certification (CFC). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The HVAC Mechanic works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     • Knowledge of contractual requirements and creation of schedules to maintain properly skilled staffing levels to satisfy those schedules.
    • Utilizes TSheets timekeeping daily, logging in and out for lunch.
    • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and maintain organization.
    • Maintains, repairs, and ensures all equipment is in proper working condition including HVAC systems, water treatment systems and emergency generator systems and various other mechanical systems.
    • Ability to replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, replacing sinks, water coolers, toilets, equipment; repairing or replacing floor tiles, replace paneling, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken windowpanes, and perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
    • Ability to be certified in backflow prevention devices.
    • Orders replacement items through purchasing and works with vendors regarding repairs to existing equipment.
    • Submits receipts on a weekly basis to the corporate office for processing.
    • Perform any additional duties on an "as required" basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual responsibilities.
    • Issue reports and summaries as required.
    • Maintain appropriate records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes.
    • Resolves clients' concerns, conducts follow-up calls and makes onsite visit inspections for satisfactory job performance.
    • Create estimates as needed. Helps with administrative tasks as needed.
    Qualifications: 
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • The HVAC Mechanic will have 5 years’ experience in the Operations & Maintenance of building operational systems including HVAC, Fire Suppression Systems, Environmental (to include Oil Water Separator Servicing) and Water Treatment procedures.
    • The HVAC Mechanic will be proficient with MS Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project), possess outstanding written and oral communication skills, and be willing to travel, as necessary. 
    Requirements:
    • 5 years’ experience in the Operations & Maintenance of building operational systems including HVAC, Fire Suppression Systems, Environmental (to include Oil Water Separator Servicing) and Water Treatment procedures
    • Valid Driver's License
    Rate of Pay: $26.15 plus $4.41 for Health & Welfare
