Description:
Logistic part of the supply chain (not really planning or inventory management):
• Implement logistic transportation system (TMS)
• Map logistics suppliers and payment process
• Implement logistic suppliers (transportation and warehousing) performance control
Ideally need to be someone with good skills to map process, work across areas and implement new IT system (TMS), as primary contact in North America (project will be implemented)
The key responsibilities of this position are to re-design our logistics footprint in North America. This will
include process improvement, new warehouse set up, and global trading control
Top Skills to screen and verify through refs:
1- SUPPLY CHAIN EXPERIENCE - material flow for Chemical manufacturing (Rubber/silicone)
2- Project Mgnt - ABILITY TO MEET STATED DEADLINES- work independently but be able to be resourceful to get information needed
3 - Kaizen - led continuous improvement events that relate to supply chain. needs examples
4 - PFEP (Plan for every part) Once the materials come in where does it go
5 - Working with suppliers to optimize material flow / also working with customers end users and other Chem Mfg to optimize
6 - Working with warehouse on inventory to optimize levels, usefulness of each warehouse for future orders
7 - SAP or ERP - currently use SAP, and this will be desired. Knowledge of erp systems, functionality and how they are utilized
The key responsibilities of this position are to re-design our logistics footprint in North America. This will
include process improvement, new warehouse set up, and global trading control.
They will be gathering information to optimize their supply chain and material flow performance. They will need to understand the scope for the supplier, number of parts/SKU's and variences, on hand inventory, warehouse space, number of parts needed to possibly set up a schedule.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• 3 years of prior engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
• Bachelor degree in Engineering preferred
• Project Management experience required
• PC skills are required. SAP experience preferred.
• Focus on safety and process improvement.
