HR Data Supervisor supervises the deployment and administration of operational processes used to deliver HR programs and projects. Collaborates with stakeholders to provide consultation, process design, and project management of HR program implementations and initiatives like compensation, benefits, performance management, or training. Being an HR Data Supervisor delivers scalable methodologies and tools to optimize HR operations and streamline core processes like onboarding, hiring, terminations, retirements, timekeeping, and others that make up the employment life-cycle. Oversees employee data management processes to ensure that data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations and that required reporting and filings are delivered. Additionally, HR Data Supervisor evaluates, selects, and manages HR process outsourcing vendors and contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The HR Data Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an HR Data Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Salary: $41-45/hour based on experience.

    About the Position: Hughes County is looking for a Mental Health Clinician to provide mental health care to a special population of inmates with mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities and high risk for suicide and self-injury. housed in the Hughes County Jail. The position will play a crucial role in providing assessment, treatment, and support to incarcerated individuals dealing with various mental health challenges. The work will contribute to the overall well-being and rehabilitation of the Hughes County incarcerated population.

    Here is What You Will Do:

    • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify and evaluate the mental health needs of inmates.
    • Assess risk factors, mental health histories, and potential suicidal or self-harming behaviors.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with inmates, considering their specific mental health conditions, needs and available resources.
    • Coordinate treatment goals and strategies with other jail staff, including correctional officers and medical personnel.
    • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, counseling, and psychoeducation to inmates individually and in group settings.
    • Respond to mental health crises within the jail, including suicide risk assessments, de-escalation of volatile situations, and providing crisis counseling and support.
    • Collaborate with medical professionals to manage and monitor the medication needs of inmates with psychiatric conditions, ensuring compliance and appropriate dosage adjustments.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
    • Work closely with other members of the correctional team, including Detention Deputies, medical staff, and administrators, to ensure a coordinated approach to inmate care and safety.
    • Assist inmates in accessing community-based mental health services and resources upon release to facilitate successful reintegration into society.
    • Stay current with best practices in correctional mental health and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

    What Will Make You Stand Out:

    Education Required:

    • Master s Degree in Counseling. Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
    • Valid, active license from the State of South Dakota as a Licensed Professional Counselor; Licensed Clinical Social Worker; Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

    Experience Required:

    • One year of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with mental health and/or sex offender population.

    Experience Preferred:

    • Previous experience in a correctional facility or similar high-stress environment is a plus.

    License Requirements:

    • Valid South Dakota Driver s License.

    Other Requirements:

    • Background check and pre-employment drug screen before hire.
    • Strong knowledge of mental health assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and crisis intervention.
    • Understanding of ethical and legal guidelines related to mental health care in a correctional setting.
    • Ability to provide direct patient care to offenders.
    • Knowledge of and ability to conduct crisis assessment and counseling
    • Ability to maintain professionalism in a complex environment.
    • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English both orally and in written format.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in a team-oriented environment.
