We leverage automated and manual roadway asset data collection, GIS, data analytics, and web technologies to create roadway asset inventories, condition evaluations, and provide network level analysis, reporting, and presentation.
BCS is looking for a roadway asset data technician to assist in the development of roadway asset inventories. Roadway assets, such as pavement, sidewalks, and traffic signs, are inventoried and evaluated to assist municipalities with management, work planning, and budgeting.
Responsibilities will include:
Depending on project assignments, field data collection will include a combination of driving and walking roadways using vehicle mounted cameras, GPS enabled tablets, and other mobile technologies. Applicant must be comfortable with extended outdoor hours, walking, and carrying lightweight equipment. Examples of current projects include town-wide inventory of traffic signs (2,000 signs), town-wide sidewalk inventory, multiple town-wide roadway video-log creation.
