Collaborates with stakeholders to provide consultation, process design, and project management of HR program implementations and initiatives like compensation, benefits, performance management, or training. Being an HR Data Analyst implements scalable methodologies and tools to optimize HR operations and streamline core processes like onboarding, hiring, terminations, retirements, timekeeping, and others that make up the employment life-cycle. Performs employee data management and analysis processes to ensure that data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations. Additionally, HR Data Analyst prepares and delivers required reporting and filings. May be responsible for the coordination of HR process outsourcing vendors and contracts. The Senior Data Analyst is part of a business intelligence and data warehouse team tasked with providing data analysis, data design, systems development, training, and customer support.
Responsibilities include:
• Systems development activities include data table/structure design, data acquisition, system specifications, data validation and documentation.
• Data Analyst support will also include development of data interface specifications, on-line query and report specifications, database load specifications, and data validation specifications.
• Customer support, including interfacing with customers, trouble shooting, product review and analysis and problem resolution.
To qualify, you will need:
• An Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
• High School Diploma and six (6) or more years of expereince
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• The ability to apply analytical skills relating to database management and development
• Knowledge of relational database management systems and data warehousing
• Experience using Cognos Tool Suite to create reports and dashboards
• Skill in writing and analyzing structured query language (SQL) queries
• Experience and knowledge in mathematical reasoning
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing for required customer support and requirements gathering and validation
• Knowledge of analytical tools and evaluation techniques
• Knowledge of government accounting (highly desired: DOD Accounting)
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
