Job Description:
We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Audio Data Analyst with expertise in audio testing and data analysis to enhance our team. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in acoustic, analog, digital audio, and digital signal processing (DSP). In this position, the Audio Data Analyst will develop real-time audio processing algorithms and perform customized acoustic measurements using low-latency audio streaming to and from sound cards. Additionally, the candidate will confirm the validity of algorithms by converting them into audio plugins, ensuring integration into external host applications, including Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) and video conferencing platforms.
Responsibilities:
Write MATLAB scripts for sound analysis, ensuring precise and efficient processing of audio data tailored to the requirements of video conferencing platforms like Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and others.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct sound tests, sound analysis, audio signal processing, or QA/QC based on specific requests, ensuring the quality and integrity of the data.
Perform comprehensive testing and tuning of video conferencing communication platforms
Draft comprehensive audio specifications providing clear guidelines for development and implementation.
Generate comprehensive visualizations, reports, and documentation based on the analyzed audio data, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making and project advancement.
Implement advanced algorithms for real-time audio processing, expanding the capability and efficiency of sound analysis within MATLAB, and contributing to the continual enhancement of audio-related functionalities.
Desired Qualifications:
Technical proficiency in MATLAB, specializing in sound analysis and processing.
Expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), particularly in the realm of audio development.
Proficiency in MATLAB's Audio Toolbox, Audio Test Bench, and Audio System Toolbox, demonstrating expertise in audio processing, speech analysis, acoustic measurement, plugin development, debugging, testing, tuning, and performing various audio operations.
A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is required. A master’s degree in relevant engineering is a plus.
