JOB SUMMARY

Under supervision of the Rental Shop Manager, assist in the daily operation of the rental shop to maintain a consistently high standard of guest service, cleanliness, rental equipment presentation, and quality control. Complete guest transactions and assist attendants with fitting and adjusting skis, snowboards, bindings, boots and other snow sports equipment. Supervise Rental Attendants to ensure tasks are completed in a friendly, safe and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Monitor, problem solve, and supervise workers to ensure efficient and safe completion of all daily rental tasks.
• Assist guests in all aspects of rental experience including set up of ski and snowboard rental equipment, filling out rental forms, adjusting equipment and answering questions.
• Clean, organize and maintain equipment and rental facilities at all times.
• Prevent internal and external theft at all times.
• Assist in training of employees.
• Attend and participate in meetings.
• In absence of the Rental Shop Manager perform opening and closing functions of the rental shop.
• Under guidance of the Rental Shop Manager, participate in and give working direction for pre/ post season setup / teardown of the rental shop.
• Assist the Rental Shop Manager in tracking equipment and inventory, check in and check out processes.
• Maintain rental fleet and inventory including boots, skis, snowboards, poles, snowshoes, and bikes .
• Complete all data input and paperwork organization daily.
• Assist in base area snow removal.
• Perform other related duties as directed or required.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Customer Services experienced preferred.
• Knowledge of winter snow sport and mountain bike equipment is preferred
• Ability to pass Rossignol training and certification program
• Basic mathematic skill.
• Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people; ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to learn and develop new skills; ability to problem solve.
• Proficient Ski and Bike Mechanic skills or willingness to learn

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
• Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
• Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
• Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
