Guest Services Manager

Position Summary:
The Guest Services Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Event Services. This position works to ensure a great guest experience for all events held on campus and supports Administrative Operations.
Duties will include:
- Hiring, scheduling, and supervising guest service staff/building attendant staff
- Providing logistical support for events
- Developing guest services policies and manuals
- Utilizing databases
- Overseeing front of the house operations
- Implementing crowd control
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
2 years work experience that includes all the following:
- Leading/supervising staff
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to adapt to changes and work in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Use of common office computer applications
- Providing customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Business Administration or Hospitality Management or 4 years experience in guest services
- Understanding of event production
- Working knowledge and good understanding public access policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet definitive timeline goals on multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working in a university setting hiring, scheduling, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating staff
- Ability to identify areas in need of change or improvement to better the guest experience
- Working with minimum supervision
