Groupware Specialist oversees the development and deployment of the organization's groupware initiative. Defines business requirements and selects collaborative software to meet these requirements. Being a Groupware Specialist implements hardware or software, troubleshoots, and may train end-users. Typically oversees internet access, document sharing, email or other messaging systems. Additionally, Groupware Specialist coordinates with end-users to define needs or areas for improvement. Ensures that all updates or upgrades are appropriately integrated into existing networks. Provides technical support, troubleshooting and training on groupware systems and makes suggestions regarding future groupware needs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Our goal is to extend hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been traumatized by abuse and / or neglect in its various forms, sever family problems and mental health issues.
We are looking to hire a full time Permanency Specialist in our Wendy's Wonderful Kids (WWK) Program. Under the direction of the WWK Program Supervisor, the Permanency Specialist will work in collaboration with the Department of Children and Families, and other community providers, to peruse prospective adoptive families for youth in foster care.
The Permanency Specialist will work closely with the youth towards building connections and exploring their history, in an effort to reach legal permanency under the guidelines of the Wendy's Wonderful Kids Child-Focused Recruitment Model, of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

Typical Duties Include : Actively recruit and retain adoptive families while adhering to Marketing and Promotions Style Guide provided by Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
The recruiter will implement the Wendy's Wonderful Kids Child-Focused Recruitment Model.
Work collaboratively with the Department of Children and Families to identify potential permanency resources for youth in foster care.
Network with community businesses, churches and non-profit organizations to develop community partnerships and collaborative relationships.
Organize and attend meetings, and other community events for prospective adoptive parents.
Input and participate in the research component required by Wendy's Wonderful Kids grant.
Ability to travel to Columbus, Ohio for all mandated Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption trainings and annual Wendy's Wonderful Kids Summit.
Attend at least 2 Klingberg Family Centers foster parent recruitment events per fiscal year. Education / Experience / Other Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in social work or related field with 2-3 years experience in child welfare required.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
Must have solid organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proven ability to work independently.
Must have valid driver's license and vehicle.
