Groupware Specialist oversees the development and deployment of the organization's groupware initiative. Defines business requirements and selects collaborative software to meet these requirements. Being a Groupware Specialist implements hardware or software, troubleshoots, and may train end-users. Typically oversees internet access, document sharing, email or other messaging systems. Additionally, Groupware Specialist coordinates with end-users to define needs or areas for improvement. Ensures that all updates or upgrades are appropriately integrated into existing networks. Provides technical support, troubleshooting and training on groupware systems and makes suggestions regarding future groupware needs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Groupware Specialist typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     We’re actively seeking a talented New Business Specialist II to join our Multilife Executive Benefits Team in Newport Beach, CA, Omaha, NE or Lynchburg, VA.

    As a New Business Specialist II, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by providing exceptional customer service, operations support, problem resolution, and specialized administrative support to producers, policy owners, broker / dealer back-offices, and other customers.

    Follows up for outstanding requirements, responds to inquiries from agents, financial institutions, other home office staff and clients, and makes courtesy calls to provide status updates.

    Screens 1035 exchanges, direct rollovers and direct transfers for completeness and compliance.

    As appropriate, orders underwriting required documents and refers applications for further underwriting analysis.

    Processes documentation and premium payments to expedite policy issuance.

    Analyzes and services special application handling needs. Verifies sales producers' licensing and appointments, etc.

    Complexity of Assignments :

    Has developed knowledge and skills through formal training or considerable work experience.

    Has established skills to perform a range of day-to-day activities.

    Solve a range of non-routine problems, analyze possible solutions, and interpret and apply precedent to determine the appropriate course of action.

    The person in this role will be responsible for providing operations support, problem resolution, and specialized administrative support to producers, policy owners, broker / dealer back-offices, and other customers.

    The New Business Specialist II will receive only general supervision and are required to have a complete understanding and proven ability to apply related principles, concepts, and practices, while still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.

    Other duties include, but are not limited to :

    Gather information about product capabilities relative to specific customer needs

    Negotiate customer claims, initiate billing adjustments, and arrange product substitutions and returns

    Research and provide problem resolution, detailed information on services, and assistance regarding paperwork and technical inquiries

    Resolve most customer concerns and problems using established procedures

    Ability to process efficiently in multiple operational systems

    Typical qualifications :

    Strong customer skills with 2 years experience in a related customer service role.

    College degree or equivalent experience.

    Analytical skills and ability to think outside the box and meet deadlines

    Self-starter, strong organizational and time management skills.

    Motivation and ability to learn new concepts quickly and adapt to a changing environment.

    Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and anticipate and respond to requests for service.

    Business writing and ability to communicate effectively based on audience (verbal and written).

    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Demonstrate computer proficiency including basic Microsoft, Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to use multiple programs concurrently.

    Adept at learning new technical skills and systems

    Base Pay Range :

    The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting.

    The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.

    Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

    $23.86 - $29.16
