Groupware Specialist oversees the development and deployment of the organization's groupware initiative. Defines business requirements and selects collaborative software to meet these requirements. Being a Groupware Specialist implements hardware or software, troubleshoots, and may train end-users. Typically oversees internet access, document sharing, email or other messaging systems. Additionally, Groupware Specialist coordinates with end-users to define needs or areas for improvement. Ensures that all updates or upgrades are appropriately integrated into existing networks. Provides technical support, troubleshooting and training on groupware systems and makes suggestions regarding future groupware needs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Groupware Specialist typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     QA Specialist

    $26 per hour with medical benefits included

    1 year initial contract

    M - F 8 am to 4:30 pm

    Location: 1 N Waukegan Road, North Chicago, IL

    Purpose:

    The QA Specialist/IQA Tech will be assisting with final inspection of plastic moldings for medical devices. Perform sampling, inspecting, and physical testing of incoming commodities per appropriate product specification in a laboratory environment. . Understands and follows documentation. Analyzes basic/simple data, evaluates results, forms conclusions, and recommends process and/or document improvements. Recognizes deviation from normal operating procedures. Recognizes and troubleshoots instrumentation and/or work order problems and routine operational issues.

    Daily responsibilities may include:

    • Responsible for performing routine testing on incoming materials in accordance with approved specifications and procedures.
    • Visual inspection of plastic moldings
    • Disposition incoming material for use in manufacturing.
    • Participates in complaint handling, failure investigations, and CAPA documentation.
    • Understands, implements, and maintains the quality policy and ensures compliance to site level policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for supporting Operations efforts in meeting established production schedule.

    To be successful in this role one will need:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Comfortable at a seated station for long periods.
    • Forklift experience would be nice but not required.
    • Good understanding of basic math.
    • Good clerical skills is required.
    • Computer skills proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, instrumentation related to network systems.
    • Previous experience in Quality Assurance
    • 2 Experience in a manufacturing/finishing environment is desired.
    • Previous knowledge of GMP regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products is desired.
    • Have an understanding of material/product traceability and Device History Records
