Job Description:
Responsible for underwriting complete product offerings for the business unit. For mortgage underwriting this includes DU automated approve/eligible products.. Ensure material information captured in the application and passed through to the automated underwriting system is accurate at time of review.
Demonstrate sound judgment in the analysis of required documentation while mitigating organization risk through appropriate decision making. Meet or exceed productivity levels established by Management and credit quality standards set forth, while responding timely to quality control and audit reviews when requested. Comprehensive knowledge of all income types and sources, including the ability to interpret personal and business income tax returns. In depth knowledge of all legal, compliance, regulatory and investor requirements for the product set. Is a resource for operations and sales colleagues regarding specific product requirements for loans in process.
Provide exceptional customer service in all written and verbal communications to both internal and external customers. High School or Equivalent (GED) required; Bachelor or Master's degree preferred. Mortgage industry experience familiarity with DU/LP.
