Group/Region Manager (Commercial Loans) manages commercial lending activity for a designated market of the organization. Establishes and manages lending objectives, targets, strategies, and practices to achieve organizational financial, growth, and service goals. Being a Group/Region Manager (Commercial Loans) seeks out new business opportunities and develops strategies to expand existing business. Manages the maintenance and servicing of existing commercial loan portfolio. Additionally, Group/Region Manager (Commercial Loans) adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal risk and operating policies and procedures. Builds a high-performance lending team with individual coaching and professional development opportunities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Group/Region Manager (Commercial Loans) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Group/Region Manager (Commercial Loans) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Position Summary

    The Commercial Banker Trainee works through a training rotational program through various functions of the bank over a period of up to 56 weeks. The Commercial Banker Trainee receives exposure, education, and practical hands-on experience in all elements of the commercial lending process. 

     Upon successful completion of the program, the Bank Trainee may be considered for a Commercial Loan Officer or Credit Analyst position. 

     The following duties are intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional duties. 

     Rotations

    • Retail Banking/Branch Operations
    • Treasury Management
    • Electronic Banking/Call Center Operations
    • Audit, Accounting, Compliance, Human Resources, Residential Mortgage, Investment Services
    • Loan Servicing
    • Loan Documentation
    • Commercial Lending/Credit Analysis
    • Credit Administration/Collections

     The position may be required to relocate to rural market. 


     Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

    1. Create value in each job function by completing assigned learning objectives.
    2. Collaborate and engage in team learning, projects, and other assigned team-based tasks.
    3. Prepare thorough and concise memos, spread sheets, reports, summaries and opinions as assigned within established timelines. 
    4. Contribute to bank-wide projects while following specific and detailed instructions. 
    5. Participate in Loan Committee meetings as requested.
    6. Complete online, written and in-person compliance training within established timeframes.
    7. Other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications 

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or other related field.
    • High School Diploma and 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a professional, service focused and fast-pace environment may be considered.

     Experience

    • Two years of banking or relevant business experience.
    • Financial accounting/analysis experience preferred.
    • Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience.

     

    Full Time, Non-Exempt  

    Grade 15
