Being a Groundskeeper, Sr. determines the appropriate plants or shrubs for walkways or garden areas. Provides grounds maintenance in all seasons. Additionally, Groundskeeper, Sr. is responsible for snow and dirt removal. Keeps the grounds and environment of a facility in a clean, attractive, orderly, safe, and healthy condition. Operates light trucks and assorted power equipment. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening and grounds equipment. May require horticultural training. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Groundskeeper, Sr. works under moderate supervision. JOB SUMMARY Under the general supervision of the TAPS Parking and Programs Field Operations Coordinator, the incumbent performs various maintenance tasks to parking lots, bicycle paths, bicycle racks, and transit shelters. This includes landscaping functions, parking lot striping, curb painting, vegetation management, and/or stormwater cleaning within and around parking lots and transit shelters.
