Position Summary

Maintains landscaped areas, flower beds, parking lots, and other designated areas of Chinook Winds Casino Resort property.

Essential Functions

• Ensures the proper grounds maintenance of assigned Chinook Winds Casino Resort grounds.
• Operates, maintains, and cleans various types of grounds keeping tools and equipment.
• Mows lawns and trims/edges around walkways, flower beds, walls, and/or other assigned areas.
• Fertilizes lawns, shrubs, and trees; assists in applying pesticides and herbicides.
• Prunes trees and shrubbery; deadheads bedding plants.
• Assists with irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
• Performs weeding of flowerbeds, pathways, and/or other designated areas.
• Plants bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Sweeps and maintains parking lots; cleans up spills; picks up trash and debris from grounds.
• Knows and complies with all safety and security regulations and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

WORKERS IN THIS POSITION MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD

Education

Experience

Knowledge of landscaping maintenance and chemical use such as pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.

Work Environment

Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Occasionally exposed to vibration or risk of electrical shock. Occasional exposure to potentially hazardous materials or substances. Noise level is moderate to loud.  

Working Conditions

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen and a background investigation and completing a 180-day introductory period.
