Grocery Store Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of a grocery store. Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. Being a Grocery Store Manager ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. Additionally, Grocery Store Manager forecasts staffing needs and develops a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Grocery Store Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Grocery Store Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     • Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
    • Basic computer skills
    • Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills
    • Understands the importance of Customer Service
    • Ability to analyze sales reports and strategically problem solve
    • Ability to stand during scheduled shifts
    • Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
    • Bending, stooping, extended reaching, climbing ladders and step stools while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting Customers
    • Ability to operate POS system
