Grocery Store Manager Assistant assists the store manager with the day-to-day operations of a grocery store. Implements strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. Being a Grocery Store Manager Assistant ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards. Additionally, Grocery Store Manager Assistant provides support to sales associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Grocery Store Manager Assistant supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.
