Job Description - Grinding Operator
This job position is a full-time employment or temp to hire position on a fixed shift work schedule.
Essential Functions:
1.0 Start up, set up, operate, and tend to the grinding and/or shredder operations.
2.0 Observe machine operations, control boards and gauges to detect any defective material or any machine malfunctions
3.0 Observes and check finished product coming out of the cyclone and if detects sub-standard product takes immediate corrective action
4.0 Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
5.0 Maintaining a clean and orderly work area
6.0 Physical Work Activity:
6.1: Work is regularly performed inside in a manufacturing environment.
6.2: Exposure to dust, odor, noise, and fumes are to be expected.
6.3: The noise level is above OHSA requirements and proper hearing protections is required.
6.4: Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
6.5: Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc. within a manufacturing environment.
6.6: Mechanically inclined
6.7: May be required to work in and around magnetic field that could possibly affect medical
devices including implants and pacemakers.
7.0 Ability to operate industrial fork trucks.
Qualifications:
1.0 High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
2.0 Demonstrate ability to follow written instructions precisely and perform basic math calculations is required
3.0 Should have an understanding/knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice, safety criteria or the ability to learn.
Starting Pay = Experience
Shift Premium for Working 2nd or 3rd Shift
