Grinding and Polishing Worker, Hand sets-up and operates automatic machines that cut, grind, or polish glass products such as glass tubes or glassware. Being a Grinding and Polishing Worker, Hand may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Grinding and Polishing Worker, Hand relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. This position is an entry level position for Comer Polishing Inc. Comer Polishing Inc specializes in both the polished concrete and epoxy flooring trades. The title given to an individual hired in this position is "Crew Member." Crew members are not required to have prior experience in the polished concrete nor the epoxy flooring trades in order to work. Crew members are required to perform job tasks as instructed by the on-site foreman. On-the-site training will be provided by the foreman.

-Follow the directions and training of the on-site foreman
-Lift and transport materials to appropriate locations such as trailers or site specific areas
-Polish concrete floors as directed
-Apply epoxy flooring as directed
-Operate power tools and hand tools as directed

-Previous trade experience is appreciated and may land an employee higher on the opening pay range.
