Grinder jobs in Oak Park, IL

The Grinder/Machinist will be performing the following responsibilities:

• Reads and understands product drawings
• Understands and prioritizes production orders to meet daily requirements
• Sets-up and operates the machines and equipment required to run production
• Understands customer requirements and adjust daily production to meet them
• Reviews and verifies first pieces from other machines to ensure conformance quality
• Assist production manager in meeting customer requirements daily
• Supports equipment maintenance as planned

Qualifications:

• Grinding: ID Grinding/OD Grinding/Surface Grinding
• Tool & Die Shop Experience
• Must be able to lift or push up to 50lbs
• Must be able to read and interpret product drawings, BOMs
• CNC Machining Experience
• Experience running a Studer a plus
• Understanding metric system a plus, polishing & assembly
