M&M Quality Grinding has a rich history in the value-added steel processing sector dating back to 1981. Located in Hodgkins, IL M&M plays a critical role in their many customers' supply chains ranging from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to steel service centers.

These companies serve a variety of markets including commercial and industrial, medical, oil & gas, food service, steel products distribution.

Position Summary :

The primary responsibility of the Centerless Grinding Operator is to grind bar stock to meet the customer requirements.

Job Requirements :

• Previous centerless grinding experience
• Ability to use micrometers.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations and possess problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make minor tool adjustments.
• Preferred skill : Experience with Cincinnati centerless grinders
• Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• No minimum educational requirements

Primary Responsibilities :

• Load and unload bars into the machine.
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instruction.
• Properly record all labor and production activities into Global Shop
• Other duties assigned by management.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to walk, stand, sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel parts.

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ear protection may be required for certain processes. Closed-toed shoes and eye protection are required for all activity on the shop floor.
