Grinder operates grinding machines to assemble products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications. Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments to grind angles, contours, lines, spheres, etc. on to surfaces. Being a Grinder requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Grinder works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to walk, stand, sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel parts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ear protection may be required for certain processes. Closed-toed shoes and eye protection are required for all activity on the shop floor.
