METAL FINISHER/GRINDER: Full time- all shifts, Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. 40 or more hours a week. Overtime available.

Basic knowledge of hand tools required with the ability to manually grind and polish welds. Body shop or manufacturing experience a plus. Must be able to be physically active during an 8-hour shift and hold, move, maintain 20 pounds constantly with a range of motion.

Candidate must be able to read blueprints, follow directions, work independently and produce quality goods. Creativity is a plus.

Requirements

  Essential Minimum Duties:

• Comply with all Feldmeier safety and Company policies and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. 
• Use various grinding tools to perform precision smoothing, polishing, or grinding of stainless steel.
• Set up and operate equipment for assigned jobs. 
• Deburr, buff or polish materials to blueprint specifications.
• Ability to read work task specifications/ blueprints.
• Wear proper PPE. 
• Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or as requested by management. 
• Complete all required paperwork and properly log time into the MES system, logging on and off.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
• Continual use of hands; pushing, pulling, grasp, hold, move, and maintain 20 pounds constantly with full range of motion, including above head, below feet and side to side. 
• Occasional lifting, carrying, and maneuvering up to 50 pounds. 
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and platforms for elevated work.
• Walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, balancing, stooping, lie down inside or under vessel and twisting while performing required job tasks.
