    Job Summary

    The ACAA’s Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for concepting and designing a broad range of materials that creatively, consistently and cohesively reflect the marketing and communications strategy and brand of the ACAA and its sub-brands and partners.

     

    Here is how the Graphic Design Specialist will help:  

    • Simultaneously manage multiple design projects that require collaboration with and supporting of cross-functional business partners to deliver consistent design solutions on a range of campaigns and projects.
    • Projects include a broad range of deliverables, including posters, advertisements (print and digital), newsletters, event collateral, web pages, banner ads, signage, presentations, and more.
    • Shepherd design assets from concept, through approval and production for both print and digital applications.
    • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our brand aesthetic.
    • Act as a design editor for all company documents containing imagery/graphics for the purpose of creating consistency across all branded content and marketing initiatives.
    • Coordinate with outside agencies / vendors as needed for final production of deliverables.
    • Edit and modify photos for use in designs, including cropping, color-correcting, resizing and editing.
    • Design and update web pages on existing site, as well as micro and other sub-sites in the future as well creative concepts and design for other interactive media and multimedia projects. 
    • Maintain libraries of design projects and visual assets utilizing file management.
    • Assure approved projects are accurate and production ready for vendors in both print and digital spaces.
    • Provide support for vendor production.
    • Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.

    Qualifications

    The following requirements list the minimum education/training/experience required to qualify for this job. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

    Preferred requirements to apply for the role of Graphic Design Specialist are:

    • Bachelor’s degree in fine arts or graphic design from an accredited college or university.
    • Three years related experience in design and graphics.
    • Possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license.   Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.

    We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:  

    • Extensive writing, editing and proofreading skills.
    • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
    • Motion graphics (After effects) and/or video editing (Premiere Pro) are a plus
    • Considerable knowledge of design capabilities including a solid understanding of color theory, layout/typography, responsive web design, UX, digital creative branding.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Ability to store and maintain design projects and visual assets utilizing file management best practices and software.
