Well-established custom graphics manufacturer is seeking a Digital Print Department Lead for our growing large format digital and screenprint operation in Tacoma, WA. Extensive large-format digitalprint experienceis critical, and experience overseeing a team of operators is a plus. If you’re a critical thinker and solution innovator with strong technical skills you’ll enjoy being a part of this team. Blend digital and screenprint methods to produce high-quality print solutions for point-of-sale and durable outdoor graphics. Primary responsibilities include operation and maintenance of digital presses, preflight, file generation, press scheduling, on-press problem solving, color correcting, technical support of sales team, input in equipment purchases, and operation efficiencies. This role reports to our Production Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum 4 years experience operating large-format digital presses
· Experience with layout design and prepress processes
· Experience using Fiery and RasterLink RIP Software
· Color management including, but not limited to color correction using a spectrophotometer
· Proficient with Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office suite.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operate digital presses and train/oversee associates in the same
· Monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all client orders
· Assist in workflow scheduling
· Oversee a program of preventive maintenance and equipment repair
· Collaborate with Production Manager and Sales Manager as needed
· Assist with technical support by interacting with sales team and clients
· Hold associates accountable for their work by setting expectations, achieving commitments, providing feedback, and evaluating the effectiveness
· Help lead the day-to-day operational management of the digital team including employee training, resolving issues/problems, establishing necessary processes, and ensuring team delivery at the highest quality control possible.
· Help select, develop, and evaluate personnel ensuring efficient operation of dept.
· Provide technical leadership in the organization
· Maintain inventory of inks, chemicals, and substrates according to workflow
· Ensure completion of required records, paperwork, and documentation for departments and direct reports
· Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
