Interior Designer Specializing in Custom Cabinetry Design

MP360 Design Build is looking for a talented and experienced Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing custom manufactured cabinetry, remodeling, & also FF&E specifying. Additionally, industry experience in Kitchen & Bath design is a must. A certification through the NKBA is preferred. They will be able to take on complex projects from start to finish, work with clients to understand their needs and desires, and translate that into a functional and beautiful design.

Responsibilities:

• Taking measurements on jobsite, and translating them into plans
• Use AutoCAD to create detailed construction documents & specifications for cabinetry, countertops, flooring, doors, windows, staircases, electrical plans and all other items required in a home project
• Use sketchup/ or similar for rendering & modeling proposed designs
• Consult with clients to determine their needs and preferences in regard to style and function
• Specifying products & putting together selections for project, and working within the budget of the client
• Procure all the finishing related products necessary to complete the project i.e.: cabinetry, electrical, countertops, plumbing, tile, appliances etc.
• Ownership of cabinet orders from beginning to end
• Responsible for follow-up with cabinetry & other vendors
• Ordering, tracking & making sure items arrives to jobsite on time
• Creating project proposals, estimates, and change orders
• Tracking projects using the CRM program Buildertrend
• Working closely & communicating with other team members to make sure the projects flow smoothly
• Presenting designs to clients
• Meet with clients to discuss design concepts, materials, finishes, and other details of upcoming projects
• Coordinating with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that designs are carried out as planned

Requirements and skills:

• Degree in Interior Design. Bachelor’s preferred, Associate’s accepted with related industry experience or certification
• 3-5 years of experience in interior design, kitchen & bath design, cabinetry design, remodeling, & construction
• Proficient at AutoCAD or similar drafting software
• Has an understanding of the process of creating construction documents, and can provide installation details for GC, superintendent, and/or subcontractors
• Proficient at Sketchup/ or similar rendering software
• Proficient with Adobe PDF
• Presentation skills
• Enjoys putting designs together with clients
• Can present different design options, colors, and selections for clients
• Willing to learn details and become an expert on identified cabinet vendors, products, and materials options
• Openness and dedication to learning our internal systems for organizing and completing projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
