    We are looking to fill a temporary home-based Graphic Design Specialist position funded through June 2024. This person will beed to be located in the American Heart Association's Southeast Region, which includes the states of FL, NC, SC, GA, TN, LA, AL, MS and the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico.

    Responsibilities

    • Design event marketing materials and day-of event materials that are on-brand.
    • Take existing event design concepts/themes and create matching suite of event materials (invitation, signage, email header/footer, cover images, PowerPoint template presentations, Program books, Zoom background, etc.).
    • Create high-quality templates that staff can localize for their event.
    • Complete website edit requests by adding sponsor logos to event sites via Luminate.

    The ideal candidate’s previous experience will include:

    • In-house graphic design, following a corporation’s branding guidelines
    • Designing event materials
    • Knows how to produce digital and print-ready files
    • Editing native assets (EPS/AI) to fit various size and formats
    • Able to produce a high volume of materials
    • Can listen to directions, ask questions and then tackle project autonomously
    • Detail oriented to ensure templates match brand guidelines as well as original design theme/concept
    • Keeps files organized in OneDrive

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • At least 2 years of prior graphic design experience.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organization of workflow and timelines, verbal, and non-verbal communication with highly effective organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to learn American Heart Association policies and procedures to include branding guidelines and ensure they are followed for each design.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Highly proficient with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
    • Basic proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Experience with Canva, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams.
    • Provide a portfolio of previous work.
