Collectively, the team is responsible for making sure these creations are in line with the client brief—and it’s expected you possess working knowledge of design, layout, color, and typographic principles.

    Position:

    A Graphic Design Intern not only has an excellent eye for design, but also a curiosity that propels their work. They must be both technical and creative, using their skills to create a finished product that meets project specifications and brand guidelines. They must also be willing to embrace a procedural mindset within their skillset to produce effective and cohesive materials.

    Reports to: Associate Creative Director

    Position Type: Part-time; hourly paid internship

    Expected Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, Flexible schedule equivalent to 20 hours/wk. as agreed with management

    Internship Duration: 12 weeks/240 hrs. from May 20, 2024 – Aug 9, 2024 (approx. dates)

    Degree Track: Must be a registered student working towards a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Collaborating with copywriters/creative partners to help develop compelling, on brand visual solutions across multiple mediums (digital, print, OOH)
    • Overseeing all design elements, from conception to final delivery
    • Maintaining high standards of quality
    • Making sure all work released to client meets the brief
    • Staying within project timing and budget
    • Adhering to all final art production and archiving standards
    • Collaborating across the organization to drive up standards of creativity
    • Engaging in personal and professional development opportunities
    • Participate in intern cohort team project

    Skills & Experience:

    • Knowledge of design, layout, color, and typographic principles for effective visual communication
    • Able to utilize Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and other software and tools as needed for projects with a willingness to learn
    • Able to work independently and within creative teams for projects
    • Adept at time management and organization
    • Effective member of a team
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite of products

    Work Environment:

    This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, digital cameras, and scanners.

    Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time.

    Travel:

    Travel may be limited for client meetings or other agency activities.
