Graphic Design Supervisor supervises graphic designers on the completion a variety of design projects. Consults with clients regarding project requirements, defines project scopes and design standards. Being a Graphic Design Supervisor advises on best practices for visual communication and provides technical expertise regarding graphic design software, layout, and color management. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Graphic Design Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Graphic Design Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Graphic Design Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
- College graduate or 1 years of experience designing for brands in-house or at an agency.
Intermediate design skills with a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software:
- Illustrator
- Photoshop
- InDesign
- After Effects (is a plus)
- Can think conceptually about how to visually support a product or service in an original, imaginative, and attention-grabbing way
- Provide portfolio of current graphic design work
OTHER NOTES:
- Experience with motion graphics and video production
- Experience using project management platforms (ie. ClickUp)
- Knowledge and interest in photography/videography
- Experience with Sketch and Figma is a plus
