Graphic Design Specialist designs and produces graphic art and visual materials for print and digital media. Ensures that layout and design are aligned with brand and production standards and follow best practices. Being a Graphic Design Specialist creates and executes design solutions and collateral used for marketing, advertising, sales, and other forms of communication. Coordinates with customers and stakeholders to conceptualize and deliver projects on time and budget. Additionally, Graphic Design Specialist experienced using a variety of design and editing tools and software such as Adobe. Knowledge of color, composition, typography, digital design and production management. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Graphic Design Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Responsibilities:
    • Create visually compelling designs for print and digital media, including brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, email, direct mail letters, newsletters and website assets
    • Collaborate with the Media and Development team to develop creative concepts and design solutions
    • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and effectively communicate the organization's message
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
    • Stay up-to-date with design trends and best practices
     
    Requirements and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field OR 3 Years experience with graphic design preferred
    • Strong design portfolio demonstrating creative skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus
    • Passion for our mission and vision
    • Represent the ZOE culture
    • Ability to understand and communicate the voice, brand and values of the organization
    • Can adhere to deadlines / timelines
    • Always learning and staying up to date with best Graphic Design practices
    • Good written and verbal skills
    • Ability to think creatively, adapt efficiently, problem-solve, and be organized
    • Ability to tell stories through content creation
    • Willingness to begin as contractor with option of moving full-time
     
    Technical Requirements:
    • Animation proficiency
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
    • Knowledge of print production and file prep
    • Website design (preferred)
     
    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25lbs
    • Must be available to work from our corporate offices in Santa Clarita, CA (Once full-time)
    • Must be available to commute to other locations or events on occasion as needed
