Ensures that layout and design are aligned with brand and production standards and follow best practices. Coordinates with customers and stakeholders to conceptualize and deliver projects on time and budget. Additionally, Graphic Design Specialist experienced using a variety of design and editing tools and software such as Adobe. Knowledge of color, composition, typography, digital design and production management. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Graphic Design Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.   • POWER Engineers Inc. is seeking a Graphic Designer. We are immediately seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Graphic Designer in our growing Boise, Idaho office in support of our Visualization Services Department. As a Graphic Designer for the Visualization team, you will work alongside a dynamic group that is continually exploring new and shiny ways to tell our clients’ stories. If you love problem-solving, varied assignments, learning new things and can nitpick those tiny details, you’d fit right in.

    You’d be responsible for designing 2d graphics including maps, fact sheets, poster boards, presentations, etc. (primarily working within existing client brand guidelines). You would also work with our team of web developers to design custom web solutions for our clients, including custom-designed websites, mapping tools, interactive applications, and online public outreach presentations. Our web tools are designed to be accessible, so familiarity with ADA compliance is a plus.

    Job Requirements

    • 2-4 years of graphic design/UI/UX experience, with an exceptional portfolio.
    • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
    • Experienced with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
    • Familiarity with the design process, including assembling creative briefs and presenting design rationales.
    • Willingness to listen to feedback and adjust design approaches.
    • Comfortable working with varied stakeholders in different departments and directly with clients.
    • Must be able to work alone or in a team and enjoy a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Must have good color perception and can adjust graphics to match branding standards.

    Preferred Experience

    • Motion Graphics, Cinematography, storyboarding, audio design, compositing, color grading, and VFX.
    • Map creation/design including familiarity with Google Earth.
    • Creative/scriptwriting and storytelling.
