The responsibilities of this role includes greeting the customer, creating a service repair order based on the customer's request, and keeping the customer informed of the status of the repair.
Assist in the operation of managing a profitable service department through productive staffing, strong customer satisfaction, cost controls, setting and meeting objectives with high initiative for change and control of service activity. Strong attention to detail when reviewing repair orders, ordering parts, entering part cost, receiving customer authorization for the work and ensuring sufficient margin is being made with each customer.
Strong communication skills between yourself and the shop technicians in order to coordinate the time and space in the shop
Scheduling jobs, meeting customer’s deadlines as well as reminding customers of routine maintenance or other issues on previous inspections that could be resolved during that appointment.
Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
Ability to diagnose vehicle problems
Need to be organize and be able to manage you time wisely
Ability to complete accurate paperwork in a timely fashion
