```Duties```
¨ Coordinate the development of grant-funded programs.
¨ Research availability of grant, loan, and other funding to establish new organizational programs or to augment existing programs, with such research to include review of literature, of Internet information, of agency-published information, and of information from personal contacts, and with funding sources to include federal and state governmental agencies, private foundations and corporations, financial institutions, and other agencies and organizations that provide grant and loan monies to nonprofit organizations and tribal governments.
¨ Discuss program requirements and sources of funds available with relevant personnel, and working with them, determine feasibility and cost-effectiveness of expanding or developing programs with such funds.
¨ Act as a team leader in the development of grant applications, using communication, coordination, and cooperation to work closely with Agency and tribal personnel affected by the proposed program to develop program goals and objectives, outline how funds are to be used, and explain procedures necessary to obtain funding.
¨ Work with Accountant to prepare narrative justification for purchase of new equipment and other budgetary expenditures.
¨ Submit proposals to Board of Commissioners, and when required, to the Ho-Chunk Nation Legislature and President, for approval and enabling resolutions.
¨ Prepare final proposals, adhering strictly to required formats, and submit the completed applications to funding agencies, foundations, or corporations.
¨ Meet or correspond with representatives of funding sources to work out final details of proposals.
¨ Write specifications for evaluation and monitoring of grant programs, and assist program personnel in writing periodic reports to comply with grant requirements.
¨ Responsible for assisting the Executive Director and grant program coordinators in insuring compliance with relevant agency codes and regulations, as they apply to grants, with particular emphasis on U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development codes and regulations.
¨ Responsible for staying current with national and state housing issues, especially in regard to their impact on Indian tribes and tribal housing agencies.
¨ Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
