**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Service Writer to join our team. The Service Writer will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations within our automotive service department. **Responsibilities:** - Greet customers and assist them with their service needs - Communicate with customers to understand vehicle issues and provide accurate information - Prepare service estimates and invoices for customers - Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs - Maintain customer records and update service history - Handle cash transactions and process payments - Provide recommendations for additional services based on vehicle inspections **Qualifications:** - Prior experience in customer service, preferably in an automotive setting - Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair processes - Ability to estimate auto repair costs accurately - Strong sales skills to promote additional services - Familiarity with auto service management practices - Mechanical knowledge to understand technical aspects of vehicle repairs - Experience working as a service technician is a plus - Proficiency in cash handling procedures - Understanding of shocks, struts, air brakes, and other automotive components This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can utilize your skills and grow professionally.
