Position Summary:
Looking for an experienced paralegal with at least 7 to 10 years of experience in family law. Paralegal will hold a critical role in working with and supporting attorneys throughout the case. Candidate will work cohesively with team members and attorneys to provide superior client service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Case Management – including organizing and maintaining all documents and files; Work directly with attorney to continually move case forward.
· Calendar – maintain attorneys’ calendar, calendar all hearings, depositions, appearances, deadlines, and discovery along with a comprehensive plan for effective follow-up and reminders. Must know State and local rules.
· Correspondence and Communication – Draft written correspondence and email correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and court. Excellent telephone communication with clients.
· Forms and Legal Pleadings – Prepare Court forms including Judicial Council Forms, LegalPleadings, and Discovery Requests including Subpoenas.
· Discovery Responses – Locate, collect, and organize documents as necessary from clients; Draft discovery responses; Prepare and assemble all documents for production.
· Filings – Prepare all documents and exhibits for filing and submit for filing. Process once filed.
· Trial Binders and Exhibits – Prepare trial binders and exhibit binders and submit to Court as necessary.
