Ensures each grant-writing project complies with the funder's policies, formats, timelines, reporting, and legal requirements. Additionally, Grants/Proposal Writer may participate in the negotiation of contractual provisions with potential partners. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Grants/Proposal Writer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. CTG is assisting a client in Blaine, WA for a Technical Writer!
Duration: ongoing
Hybrid 3 days in office 2 days work from home
Salary: between $80,000-$98,000/year (based on experience)
Roles & Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Delivery of written content to include procedural manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation related to oil, gas and refining
• Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed
• Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedures and forms
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Write descriptive manuals and guides for complex subjects. Duties to include researching topics, writing documents and editing work for publication
• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension
Experience & Qualifications
• 5 years of experience in a technical writing role
• 2 years or more of higher education that includes studies in English grammar and or writing.
• Preferred experience in oil and gas business
• Experience with interviewing clients to understand and capture information needed for technical writing assignments
• Easy-going demeanor, good client relations
• Expertise with Microsoft Office tools; primarily WORD templates but also excel and Power Point
• Experience & knowledge with use and configuration of SharePoint Online
• Experience & knowledge of Information Management & Document Control practices
