    Responsible for creating, reviewing, and updating policy & procedure documents specific to the gaming operations and regulations. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
    • Draft comprehensive policies and procedures related to gaming operations, security protocols, gambling practices, and employee training to ensure compliance with gaming laws.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and regulatory agencies to ensure that policies are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
    • Write clear, concise, and accurate policy documents, ensuring they are easily understandable by Team Members at all enterprise levels.
    • Regularly review and update existing policies to reflect changes in regulations, industry best practices, and internal processes. 
    • Review Marketing promotions for accuracy.
    • Monitor casino operations to ensure established policies and procedures adherence. 
    • Identify areas for improvement and recommend updates to policies as needed to maintain compliance. 
    • Work with the Internal Audit department to determine deficiencies in the currently approved policy & procedures.
    • Serve as a point of contact for questions and inquiries related to policies and procedures. 
    • Communicate changes and updates to relevant stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner. 
    • Provide mentoring, peer review, and feedback with department Team Members writing projects. 
    • Provide regular updates to management, regarding progress, timing against deadlines, and necessary coordination with operations and contracts/compliance functions.
    • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. 
    • Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
    • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
    • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
    • Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
    • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This job does not require supervisory duties.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED):

    • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field is preferred. 
    • Technical Writing experience in a regulatory or compliance-related role within the gaming industry is preferred.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills.
    • Casino Auditing experience is preferred.

    CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
    • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation. 
    • Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
    • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
    • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

    • Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.
    • Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
    • Must be available to work weekend and holidays.
    • Some enterprises are gaming facilities.
    • Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.
    • Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
