GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Technical Writer to join our team. This position is full-time and will be located in Albuquerque, NM.

• Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of relevant experience.

• Collaborates with scientific and technical staff and subject matter experts to determine audience needs, clarify and organize content, and identify appropriate communication methods for documentation such as reports, manuals, scientific articles, presentations, proposals and other materials.
• Develops familiarity with a range of topics as required.
• Provides developmental writing and editing for large and complex projects, including interviewing subject matter experts, conducting research, drafting documentation, providing guidance on document structure, and coordinating review cycles to meet schedule expectations.
• Provides extensive copy editing and formatting of technical documents with strict and experienced attention to grammar, syntax, presentation, consistency of terminology, layout and style as prescribed by the appropriate style guidance.

• To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

The NNSA's Sandia National Laboratories, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is responsible for the development, testing, and production of specialized nonnuclear components and quality assurance and systems engineering for all U.S. nuclear weapons (energy.gov).
